The ACHILLES Freestanding Aerial Rig is our new line of rigging set-ups for aerial artists. With the guaranteed high quality design and manufacture that gave us our reputation with other products, this freestanding rig is the strongest, safest and most stable of its kind on the market. It does not require any ground anchorages, and can be set-up by one person alone with a pulley block 3 for 1. However, if you want to use the rig while there is high winds, for example, you should buy and use the optional stakes below.

 The ACHILLES version is the most recommended freestanding structure; it's lightweight and very stable.

Our Tripods are made only of aluminum and stainless steel, making them good to leave assembled outside for extended periods of time. If you do decide to leave your rig outdoors, please follow these guidelines:

• Make sure that the rig is secured and safe from children or onlookers.
• Grease only the bolts on your rig regularly to avoid rust.
• If you plan on leaving your rigging equipment installed outside for a long period of time be sure to use our marine grade pulleys and ropes.
• Make sure the ropes are kept off the ground to stay as dry as possible.
• In places with extremely hot and sunny weather, the ropes will deteriorate faster.  Ropes left outside year round should be replaced every 6 to 24 months, according to their state.
• If you live in an area where it snows in the winter, it is best to bring your rig inside during those months.

Recommended Kits

You will have to take it up and down by hand with force. We recommend at least 3 people to do so. You will install your props on the rig before setting it up, and they will be fixed there.

Trapeze Spread bar Attachment

        - Attached on top, the trapeze spread bar allows for 2 rigging points, with the same approved load combined on the points.
- Width of 36" (33" Between attachment points)
- Perfect for trapeze, bungees, and loop rope or loop tissue.

Cable Rigging kits available

Our tripods come with the standard cable kit (3 cables) associated to the height option desired (16'/20'/24'). To adjust to lower heights, you need to use cables of different lengths. See chart below for kits included/kits available:

If you wish, you could set up the tripod lower with home made cables, or we can make some custom for you upon request.
